In the easternmost end of Crete island, both history and nature are generous. Since the Minoan times, this place used to be Crete’s and Europe’s gate to the Mediterranean ports. Moreover, it consists of a mosaic of habitats and ecosystems unique to the Mediterranean region. Among this mythical landscape, is where this special honey is produced for ages.
It is the result of a very specialized treatment of beehives and selective harvesting techniques which allow the smooth blend of late-blooming thyme, pine honeydew, and a variety of Cretan wild herbs to give a distinctive aromatic honey with great nutritional values which mirrors the wealth of Cretan nature.
